Unicomer (Saint Lucia) Limited – Internal Audit Senior
Unicomer (Saint Lucia) Limited is seeking to recruit an Internal Audit Senior for its operations in St. Lucia. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Internal Audit Manager, and will be responsible for performing a mix of financial and operational audits across the organisation to ensure that efficient internal control processes are in place to identify and manage risk. The Job-holder will be based in St. Lucia and will be required to provide audit support as outlined herein to the Unicomer St. Lucia operations and must therefore be prepared to travel to its various business units.
Key Areas of Accountabilities
- Examine business processes and controls for compliance with management plans and policies, evaluating whether controls provide management with reasonable assurances regarding the achievement of the company’s operational, financial reporting and compliance objectives
- Execute the full cycle of the audit process from planning through to the review process and completing summary report
- Ensure work papers accurately document work performed and are in accordance with the generally accepted auditing standards
- Provide supervision to audit staff to ensure audits are efficient and meet objectives
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with management and personnel at all levels of the organization
- As part of the Internal Audit team, keep up to date on current activities, accounting and audit pronouncements and information significant to the profession
Minimum Experience, Skills & Qualification:
- Qualified Accountant with professional certifications. Preferred certifications include: ACCA, CIA or CPA
- Minimum three (3) years auditing experience
- Thorough knowledge of auditing practices, techniques and principles
- Strong analytical skills
- Working knowledge of TeamMate Audit Management System or similar tool
- Working knowledge of data analytics tools such as IDEA, ACL
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office

- Ability to work with a team and ensure department’s objectives and targets are met
- Strong organisational, and monitoring skills
- Self-motivated, organised, assertive, goal oriented and displays a high level of ethics, discipline and professionalism
- Dependable and displays a high level of reliability
- Willingness to travel to various business locations within St. Lucia
