One Passenger Injured as Plane Crash Lands in The Bahamas

ELEUTHERA, The Bahamas, Friday January 12, 2018 – Police are investigating the crash of a private plane in the Bahamian island of Eleuthera that left one man with minor injuries.

The incident occurred at the Governor’s Harbour Airport shortly after 8 p.m. on Tuesday, as the Pineapple Air Charter flight from New Providence approached the end of the runway.

According to police reports, the landing gear collapsed, causing the aircraft to skid off the southern end of the runway.

Two pilots and 15 passengers were on board at the time. But only one passenger complained of injuries and was taken to a clinic where he was treated and discharged.

The incident has been referred to the Department Civil Aviation for further investigation.
