Ministerial portfolio changes

Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Hon Allen M. Chastanet has announced adjustments to several ministerial portfolios effective Nov. 1.

Hon. Dominic Fedee is now the Minister for Tourism, Information, Broadcasting, Culture and Creative Industries, while Hon. Fortuna Belrose takes on the role of Minister in the Ministry of Tourism, Information, Broadcasting, Culture and Creative Industries with responsibility for Culture and the Creative Industries.

Senior Communications Officer Nicole Mc Donald said the changes are to ensure greater synergy, efficiency, and to improve responsiveness to the needs of Saint Lucians.

Other changes include Minister the Hon Bradley Felix who now holds the portfolio of Commerce, Industry, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs; Minister Hon Lenard Montoute with the Ministerial portfolio of Equity, Social Justice, Local Government and Empowerment; and Minister Hon. Edmund Estephane with Youth Development and Sports.

Previously appointed portfolios of members of the Cabinet remain unchanged.
