Media Release: Rodney Bay Highway Expansion project progresses

PROJECT INCLUDES ADDITION OF TWO MORE MOTORING LANES FROM REDUIT TO BONNE TERRE, AND UPGRADE OF WATER MAINLINES.

The Rodney Bay Highway Expansion Project is underway. The Project seeks to address the following issues:

1) Addressing traffic congestion by constructing 2 additional motoring lanes from Reduit to Bonne Terre with 2 roundabouts being constructed
2) Improving motorist and pedestrian safety by constructing sidewalks and a walkover
3) Reducing flooding during heavy rains by improving the drainage system in the area
4) Improving the consistency and reliability of the water supply in the north by replacing the WASCO Main Pipes which are over 30 years old.
The project currently employs approximately 100 persons.
