Key Responsibilities

• Clean building by emptying trash, sweeping, mopping and cleaning surfaces.
• Empty and sanitize bins, place garbage in bins provided by waste disposal contractor.
• Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges and squeegees.
• Wipe doors and sanitize door handles and light switches.
• Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
• Wipe down desks and sanitize phone (if staff member is not present).
• Wipe and clean tables, kitchen counter and kitchen sink.
• Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
• Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
• Identify and report possible repairs.
• Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.
• Remain professional and courteous at all times.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Training as evidenced by possession of a recognized School Leaving certificate.
• Minimum of eighteen (18) months in a similar position

• Knowledge of cleaning materials and supplies
• Ability to use a variety of cleaning equipment and applications
• Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees
• Ability to observe and maintain confidentiality in the performance of duties
