Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre is leading a delegation on an official state visit to the Republic of China (Taiwan) from October 24 to November 1, 2026. During the visit, he is scheduled to meet with His Excellency President Lai Ching-te and other senior government officials.

The visit offers an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between Saint Lucia and Taiwan and to discuss shared development priorities. The visit is courtesy of the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

During the Prime Minister’s absence, the following acting arrangements apply:

· Hon. Dr. Ernest Hilaire serves as Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Constituency Development, People Empowerment, Justice and National Security from October 25 to 26, 2026.

· Hon. Shawn Edward serves as Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Constituency Development, People Empowerment, Justice and National Security from October 27 to November 1, 2026.
