One hundred years of faith, family, hard work and service were celebrated on Sunday, August 16, as the Older Persons Unit joined family, friends and community members in honouring Saint Lucia’s newest centenarian, Mrs. Agnes Edgard.
Born on August 16, 1926, Ms. Edgard, affectionately known as “Grinita,” “Ma Ta” and “Ma Bill,” was honoured on her milestone birthday by staff of the Older Persons Unit, within the Department of Equity, Social Justice, Gender and Older Persons, who presented her with a bouquet and commemorative plaque.
